new class idea......theif
ok i think guildwars needs a theif class
someone to spot and remove traps/or move over them without triggering them.Have the ability to steal items off mops(this wont effect drops).Being able to "check a chest"without useing a key to denote color of drop.uses poison, bleeding, blind condtions.any gold picked up is not shared with party.ability to "scan" a mop to determine weaknesses.(excuding bosses) uses thrown weapons with "half the normal distance" like knives but do lil damage or uses a crossbow for a hard hit once with a long rate of fire. Can "feign"death or play dead and turn invisible to enemies.ohh ya there armor should be max 50 each peice.well there is the idea i want to see what others think before i really put alot of effort into this.i think this is a valid want/need for the game.althogh it shouldnt be able to steal ANYTHING from party members or people in cities.
what do ya think?????????????

too - useless, It'll be like filling a slot with someone who doesnt do anything unless somehting specific comes along - Skills should never target items, traps, chest or basically anything without AI (or RI) of sum sorts
Also this CC has been suggested many MANY MANY MANY times
Still always nice 2 see someone comming up with ideas

It is useless. Traps aren't big enough of a problem that you'd need to run up and disable them.
Being able to check a chets or steal drops of mobs isn't an attribute? This is more like a farmers best friend than a profession. Being able to do that stuff also doesn't go with the theme of the game. No other professions have any special ablities that involve drops, or chests. Skills only target creatures. The only thing with this profession I'd agree with is being able to walk over traps without setting them off, But that sould just be given to the assassin.

The day that other players can steal my 100k+ items from me, is the day that I quit GW. Sounds like you can get items without killing things, thus stealing away loot from other players. Thiefs wouldnt add any value to a mob-whacking party whatsoever, so nobody in their right minds would invite these people in their party. As stated above: Just like Assasin.
The only use for these Thiefs would be in a chestrunning team, but Anet doesnt really like people doing that, so my guess is that they dont see any future in the idea.
